BRIEF COMMENT FROM A MEMBER
The Immortals started out as an historical miniature war games club, I remember as a young lad in the mid 70s going to an old Church hall on the corner of Somerset Street in Frankton were the Immortals used to meet. I was amazed and bewildered, by the models and games, Ancient and medieval, then there was the old Airfix 1/72 WWII games.
I remember people of all ages, one older chap in particular has away's stayed a vivid memory of those days. He looked just like your classic wartime hero (perhaps he was an ex solider) with a typical handle bar moustache who filled the room with his cigar smoke, never forgot that smell!

After many years of experiencing life I discovered I had the time to get involved with my childhood hobby once again. Well things surely have changed since my first memories, no smoking in the club rooms for a start, but so has the gaming, over time the club has enjoyed many treads in gaming, Historical or Fantasy and while most of the games played are still with miniatures there have been times were the club has had groups playing other styles such as card games.

The current Immortals Club has a varied membership from all walks of life, ages and genders. Because it is a club were people interact, it is not surprising to find that members also have interests in playing sports and other gaming formats. This is were the club comes together semi completive social interaction without the pain of physical contact. Something people of all ages can easily do together
Thank you
Tony
